Members of Rosemont Yacht Management’s Monaco-based Emergency Response Team (ERT) have recently updated their STCW Basic Training certification to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest techniques being instructed and implemented on board yachts. The week-long course was undertaken at Blue Water’s Antibes training centre in nearby Biot and included;
- Firefighting
- Survival Craft Training [Life-rafts]
- Social Responsibilities
- Security Awareness
- First Aid
The ERT is supervised by DPA/CSO Shelley Dowie who spent 10 years at sea and has undergone advanced training in Firefighting, Security and Medical Care. The recent training undertaken by Janet Xanthopoulos, Harry Windsor and Simona Donzella will enhance the understanding of the team when responding to an emergency scenario and ensure a more focused reaction.
