From Dream to Delivery

Last week, Rosemont Yacht Services had the privilege of contributing to a truly forward-looking initiative.

Over two days, our Managing Director, Janet, engaged with students from the first dedicated yachting programme at the International University of Monaco, developed in collaboration with La Belle Classe Academy and hosted at the Yacht Club de Monaco.

Rather than focusing on theory, the sessions were designed to reflect the practical realities of the industry.

Topics included:
• Structuring yacht acquisitions and transactions
• Ownership frameworks and flagging considerations
• Asset protection strategies
• VAT and regulatory environments
• Financing approaches and deal execution
• Operational distinctions between private and commercial yachts
• Key developments shaping the sector

What stood out most was not only the level of engagement, but the quality of thinking.

The students were already approaching the industry with a professional mindset, asking the right questions and challenging assumptions.

This kind of initiative reflects an important shift:
the growing need to bridge academic learning with real-world expertise.

At Rosemont, we strongly believe that the future of yachting depends on sharing knowledge, experience, and perspective with the next generation.

We look forward to seeing these future professionals contribute to the evolution of the yachting sector.
